History

Metrics Engineering Co have been producing precision engineered components since it was formed in 1970. The company was founded by Mike Sills to carry out precision engineering.

Mike fully retired in 2006 and the company has now passed to the second generation: Mike's daughter, Amanda Starmer; her husband Andy Starmer; Julian Sandrey; who started with Metrics Engineering as an apprentice in the mid 80’s and his Wife Julie Sandrey.

Since this photo was taken, Metrics Engineering Co have expanded the facilities 3 times, along with the growth of the company and its customers over the years.

Metrics Engineering Co now occupy approximately 3 times the floor space of the original building shown in this photograph, having now built on all of the land to the back of the original building.
